LA’S TOP PUBCLUBBING HOTSPOTS
DOLCE
Hollywood hotties devour cannelloni crepes and feast on fusilli at the ultra hip Dolce (8284 Melrose Ave.) Ashton Kutcher’s latest conquest is an Italian eatery in West Hollywood which he co-owns with other celeb investors. If the name Kutcher tied to a restaurant doesn’t get you hot, amble over to the bar where a backdrop of open flames greet you and heat things up. The restaurant is modern and decked out with cozy black leather booths and marble-cube columns. There’s a private room draped with red curtains and an exposed wine room brimming with over 2000 wines. For a real eye opener, as if the beautiful people and celebrities aren’t enough, try the Espresso Martini. It’s sure to keep the party rolling ’til the wee hours of the morning.
LOLA’S
Those who need a retreat from the hubbub and havoc of the Sunset Strip escape to Lola’s in West Hollywood (945 N. Fairfax Ave.). A young, hip and sexy crowd (along with a plethora of celebrities) flock to this martini paradise to shoot pool, lounge on cozy leopard print sofas and consume countless cocktails. This casual nighttime hot spot claims to be the originator of the apple martini and offers over 60 unique concoctions like The Garlic Mashed Potato Martini (Chopin Potato Vodka served very dirty with Santa Barbara garlic stuffed olives), Le Cirque du Soleil Martini (Ketel One Vodka and cold sake served in a glass rimmed with edible glitter) and the extremely popular Star Fu**er Martini (Finlandia Cranberry Vodka, Red Bull and apple pucker, garnished with star fruit). Lola’s Martini is the first on the seemingly endless drink menu but after one of these swimming pool sized martinis (almost 10oz.) you’ll be lucky if you can focus on the rest!
NIC’S RESTAURANT AND MARTINI BAR
Hip, hot and happening are words frequently used to describe Nic’s Restaurant and Martini Bar (453 North Canon Drive), the tiny, but oh so cute and cozy spot in Beverly Hills where the rich and famous flock for amazing oysters and tuna tar tar. And really, what could be better after a strenuous day of shopping on Rodeo except maybe a martini or two to keep you foggy about all that cash you just spent . Unique is the word here with names like the Pink Monkey (bacardi Limon, cranberry and pineapple juices), Bijan’s Smile (stolichnaya Vanil Vodka, fresh sweet and sour, cranberry juice and Licor 43) and Can’t Elope (Rain Vodka, Marie Brizard watermelon Liquor, orange juice and lime). And for those of you who need just a little more spice in your life (and enjoy the feeling of flames blazing through your body), try the Latin Lover, it’ll leave you feeling hot-hot-hot!!
